With the option of a 10km or 20km route, this social ride is open to all and a brilliant way to get involved in endurance riding for anyone interested! This ride will take place over the Marlborough Downs, so please do come and enjoy the views!
Riders will be allowed to start their route between 2 and 3 pm.

‘Try a Vetting’
Cotswold Endurance Group will be offering a ‘practice’ vetting at our social ride at Barbury Castle. One of our members, Ella Bunting (EGB’s Young Rider Champion 2018), is a veterinary student and alongside some other vet students will be acting as vets for anyone who would like to learn what vettings are like at competitive endurance rides. They are not qualified vets, it is just a practice exercise!
We feel this is a great way for those new to endurance to learn what would happen at a competitive endurance ride. The practice vetting would consist of taking your horses heart rate and advising how best to trot your horse, whilst hopefully answering any questions along the way!
